FAQ – 10 Questions (Q/A Format)
Q1: How many output channels does the ADV559-P00 provide?
A1: It provides 32 independent digital output channels.
Q2: What is the rated output load per channel?
A2: Each channel is rated to drive up to 30 V DC at 100 mA (resistive or inductive load).
Q3: Does this module support pulse-width or time-proportional output functions?
A3: In its basic version (P00) the module supports standard output switching; for variants with “P” suffix the module supports pulse-width and time-proportional control from 8 ms to 7200 s.
Q4: What is the typical output response time?
A4: The typical output response is 16 milliseconds or less according to specification.
Q5: What is the module’s weight and size?
A5: The module weighs approximately 0.30 kg and measures approximately 144 mm × 100 mm × 30 mm.
Q6: What kind of external connection does the module use?
A6: The module uses a dedicated cable interface (for example KS2) to connect the 32-channel output wiring to the module, simplifying field wiring.
Q7: Can this module be used in large panel installations where many outputs are required?
A7: Yes. The module’s 32 channels in one unit reduce the number of modules, reduce wiring and simplify panel layout, making it well suited for large output point count installations.
Q8: Is the output channel isolated?
A8: Yes. Each output channel is isolated from others and from the module’s system common to improve noise immunity and reliability.
Q9: What types of field devices can this module drive?
A9: It can drive devices such as 24 V DC solenoids, relays, indicator lamps, alarms and other discrete output devices, provided the device current and voltage fall within the specified ratings.
Q10: Is this module part of a modular system so it can be replaced or expanded easily?
A10: Yes. The module is designed for plug-in rack or backplane systems (ST4 compatible) and supports modular installation, replacement and expansion without major rewiring.
